THE GROUP BUY IS CLOSED.
There are 12 sets being made for the 12 people that made the deadline.
I do not know when, or even if, I will be making any more.
There is no way to purchase directly through this site. Contact me and I'll send you the email I use with Zelle.
Hardbody (Nissan D21 2wd) Adjustable Upper Control Arm Group Buy
***Group Buy Closed July 30, 2022***

This page will be edited and changed as more details are available. It's taken over a year to get this group buy moving. For those that have been on the "list" for that whole time, thank you for your patience. There's been a lot of interest in them and there seems to be no other source for anything similar that is specific to the Hardbody pickups.
A complete set of arms will be $650 +$26 for shipping. Please see the product page(click for more info) for more info about the arms.
To participate in the group buy for these arms, it will require a deposit of $400 paid via Zelle (click for more info). At this time, Zelle is the only method of payment. If you wish to pay the entire amount $650 up front, I'll ship your arms for free. Understand that this project will most likely take at least 2 months and could take longer. It's just me and I have a full time job and family that I have to work around. I've already invested over $8k of my own money into supplies and parts to show my commitment. It will also get these done sooner by not waiting for the group buy to close at the end of July. I need the deposits to help buy the rest of the parts and to know that you are committed to following through on the purchase. If I cannot finish the project, your money will be returned.
I will only be shipping flat rate priority via the USPS. If you're outside of the US, you'll need to find a place inside the US to ship them to, who will in turn, ship them to you. Guam and Puerto Rico are within the USPS service area.
The cross shaft (the blue anodized part) will look very similar to the one in the picture. I've made a few changes to it to make it stronger and clear the hardware better.
One change to the setup pictured will be the turnbuckles. Those shown in the pictures are 5" and 4". The 4" is the shortest length typically available. I'm having 3.25" turnbuckles custom made to allow more caster adjustability. They will be plated in silver zinc, according to the manufacture. It will take approximately 60 days from when the order was placed for them to arrive. I'm hoping to have the cross shafts machined and anodized by the time these parts show up so they can be assembled and shipped. Hopefully, the parts will show up within the 60 day window as promise. I have no control over outside vendors or the shipping times.
I had 30+ people on the list and I ordered parts based on that. About 20 of those people have ghosted me, so I'm going to end up with a ton of extra parts. At this time, there are only about 16 people on the list that say they are in, but only 8 have actually paid the deposit. I will not be making 50 sets as I have previously stated. I will make enough for those that have paid the deposit and possibly a few extra sets. After the 30th, anyone that has not made the deposit will be removed from the list. Any extra sets will be available to whoever pays first. The price after the 30th will be at least $700 +shipping. Yes, I'm a bit jaded by how many people have flaked on me.
*** It has been determined/decided that this design is NOT a good fit for the 4wd trucks.
I've also updated the product page here.

As with all of my products, these are for show car or off road use only! If you are not capable of installing these items, you will need to seek professional help. At the very least, you will need to have the vehicle aligned.
You are complete responsible for any liability or damages arising from their use.
That being said, one of the very first sets was subjected to a drifting accident where the front left corner hit the wall at about 45mph. The damage was severe enough that it bent the frame irreparably. The cross shaft was not damaged in any way, but the ball joint carrier and clevis were both broken. The owner replaced those parts and reinstalled the UCA's on the replacement frame. This current design has added material to make them even stronger.
I will be posting the process and progress for this project on my Instagram and Facebook pages. If the links don't work, you can find either as BLUEHANDSVIDEO. At some point, there may be videos about them on my YouTube, which is also bluehandsvideo. If you look back 4 years on any of these accounts, you'll find all of the previous posts from the last time I built these.
If you have questions about this, please contact me.
Notes/Updates:
7/2/22 I've only received about 10 responses, so far. It's clear that I'll be losing money on this project, so I don't want to lose any more of my time than I need to. Unless there's a huge increase in responses, I'll only be making 20-25 sets. If you have any suggestions about where to market these, please let me know. contact me
7/16/22 I've reduced the price to $650. The orginal price was based on making all the turnbuckles in house. Since I have steel ones coming in, that will eliminate a lot of time and effort.
7/24/22 Please take note of changes made above. The deadline for the group buy has been extended to 7/30. Anyone on the list that has not made a deposit by then will be removed from the list. I will not be make more than a few extra sets and their price will be higher with no free shipping.
7/30/22 I just heard from the supplier that the parts I'm having made should be done Aug 10th.....which is pretty annoying since it was supposed to be a lead time of 30 days.....which was mid July. It's still going to take about 30 days for shipping to get them to me. It's looking like mid-Sept. :( Had they been honest about the actual times, I would have opted to make them myself.
8/20/22 I just found out that the parts are finally finished and will ship soon. The estimated arrival date to me is Sept 20th. The first order of parts arrived about a month ago and is still stuck at the dock in California with no projected time of being turned over to UPS to be delivered to me.
8/28/22 I just got the first 6 boxes in wed. They’ve got the rod ends and lock nuts. That order was held up on a dock in CA for over a month. The next order with the turn buckles is projected to arrive here Sept 20th. ☹ Not happy about how long that order has taken. They blamed for the heat over there for a nearly 3 week delay of the manufacturing. They’re being shipped to GA since it looks like there’s way less delay. Even with the cross-country travel, it should still be a lot faster than going through CA.
I'm looking to get the cross shafts done very soon so that I can send them off for anodizing.
9/4/22 I finished up the machining of the cross shafts yesterday. I worked a bit on the surface finish. Despite the tools and supplies I've bought to do a brushed finish on them, it's not turning out as I had hoped. I blasted a test piece yesterday and found that my "used" glass abrasive leaves a softer finish than I thought it would. I'm going to blast them all today so they'll be done. Instead of a brushed effect, they'll be frosted. The blasting evens out the surface to create a more uniform finish, which is what the brushed finish was supposed to do.
Okay......the bad news is that I've missed the deadline for getting the anodizing done before the next shipment of parts is supposed to be here. I miss read the info I got from him. I thought he was closing on the 17th. He's actually closing the 9th through the 17th. I'm going to send them soon so they'll be waiting for him when he returns. Considering how delayed the last shipment was, there's a good chance there will be a delay on the second shipment. Hopefully, the parts will be in and I can get them separated and assembled by the time the cross shafts come back.
I know at least one person that wants "raw" cross shafts so that he can have the powder coated. If anyone else wants to do the same, let me know immediately so I can hold your set. I'll be shipping them out sometime this week. Once shipped, you'll be getting anodized shafts. It will be a few dollars cheaper if they're not anodized, but I won't know how much that is until they're anodized. Once I know, I'll either discount your last payment or refund the amount to you if you've already paid in full.
9/18/22 I'll go through the hardware again in the next day or two, but it's all here. The shop doing the anodizing already has the cross shafts. He should have just gotten back from vacation. I'm not sure just how long it will take him to catch up so he can work on these, but I'm guessing about a week. If so, then hopefully, I'll have them back here by the end of the month and can start shipping shortly after that. If you want spare parts, I've got tons of extras of most items, so contact me for pricing. I do not have any extras of the ball joint carrier, the 5/8" bolts and washers or the small cone washers that go on those bolts. I've got tons of ball joints, rod ends, turnbuckles, and lock nuts. I'll be sending a spare set of ball joints with each set of arms just in case the fit between them and the carriers is too tight or loose. The tolerances between different manufactures and parts can go in opposite directions some times. Honestly, I'd forgotten that I already had 772 ball joints here when I ordered 100 of the Moog joints. You'll get one set of Moog and one set of the others.
Oh.....I just realized that I'm waiting on the wrenches, too. I decided to have them powder coated which added 7-10 days onto the order. They should be done around the 23rd at the latest, so hopefully, they'll be here just before the shafts come back.

10/9/22 email update sent. Checked with the anodizer to get an idea on when to expect the packages, since I was told they went out Tuesday. Turns out that they weren't actually sent. I now have the tracking numbers, but today is a postal holiday. Hopefully, they will get sent tomorrow and possibly be here by the end of the week. I think this is the 3rd time that I've expected them "by the end of the week". :(
