9x20 CNC Lathe - Inner Bearing Adapter
|
I think this might be the last of the inner bearing vids. I did the code in such a way that I can use it for 3 different bearing adapters, just by changing the Z axis part zero. I've got about 6 of the 620 adapters finished, about the same for the 521 and I'm going to finish up the 8 or so Toyota adapters I have started. I won't be doing anything with them for quite some time, so I just want to finish them and put them on a shelf.

This part is way bigger and much more involved than the outer, but it's been going a lot better. I still need to write the code for the other side of the adapter. I'll have to change to the 4" chuck first. If I knew how to use work offsets, I could use the same code for the 521 and 620 inners, just offset the 620 ones to cut differently. Hmmm....time to learn something new.....again! lol

Finishing up the inner bearing adapter. Changed some code in mach3. They're turning out pretty nice. I'll probably have one more vid a bit later that will deal with polishing the seal surface.
This is a part to a disc brake upgrade on classic Datsun trucks. |

Similar walk thru as in pt1, but this is of the 2nd operation. There's more mach3 stuff in this one so it came out longer. I split it into two vids. Pt3 will be the rest of this vid.

This is a bit of a "walk thru" while setting up to make the inner bearing adapters. This is the first operation. The second op will be in a separate vid.
The adapter is for a disc brake upgrade on classic Datsun pickups. |
